An introduction to topics in biotechnology and STEM careers. Modules will explore how the scientific method is used to discover biologicals for use in pharmacology, agriculture, energy and manufacturing, and how potential products are selected and eventually manufactured in these industry sectors. Students will also study Bay Area biotechnology entrepreneurs and how local biotechnology companies were started. Students will survey STEM careers and companies in the general Bay Area. (Units do not count toward the Associate Degree.)

Step 1. If you are age 13+, register to this website and get a student number starting with "G"

Otherwise, visit Skyline College in person, request and fillout paper based application. They wanted to have a copy of PSA, but Certificate of Proficiency was not necessary.

Step 2. Get a school counselor's letter explaining why the student need college level education, why the student can do it, and also that you are approving it.

Note that placement tests are not required for the course.
