Hello! My name is Amy and I am offering Cello and or Piano Lessons for you or your child in
my beautiful Oakland studio.  I am a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and performed for many years as a member of orchestras in Europe. Since returning to the United States, I have been living in
the San Francisco Bay Area performing as a free lance and chamber musician and have been teaching privately and formerly through the Young Musicians Program for Scholarship Youth at U.C. Berkeley.
Also, I was music director of the Junior Bach Association and am a member of the Music Teachers Association of California and judge competitions.

I choose music and technical exercises for each student based on what I think they will like and what I feel will help them advance in technique and musicality, and think it is important for students to play duets with me and eventually play with other young people in chamber music groups or orchestras.
