>I am in the process of applying for a green card.
>However, how can I get my birth certificate?
>Is "birth certificate" equal to "Ho-jok Deung-bon"?
>If so, do I need to translate it and certify it with more than two lawyers?
>Thanks.
In Korea, there is no such thing as a birth certiciate. So, instead, INS accepts HoJokdeungbon.
You need to submit the Korean version AND its English translation. It need not be notarized. You do not need any lawyer for such translation.
