Attn: Kim Moon.
What I meant was that your status is legal with I- 20 and new I-94,which you get after change of status from B-2 to F-1.
New I-94 tells you that the valid is for duration of status. it means as long as you are a student in US, there's no porblem.
you need a visa only when you come to America from Korea.Once you came here, it's okie, and you have to keep your status of student. However, when you come back to US after visiting Korea or other countries, you might get trouble because your official visa is still 'B-2' on your passport. Unless you want to get any trouble, it's better to stay in US until you finish your studying.
I've heard that some of students didn't come back even though they have travel permission or something or it take long time to process to allow them to come back.
